Jeep has launched a limited edition Alpine Edition of the 2013 Grand Cherokee SRT8 in South Africa.
It is based on the pre-facelift version and not the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee revealed recently at the Detroit Auto Show. The Alpine Edition comes with only in white color with a chrome finish for the 20-inch alloy wheels. Glossy black theme surrounds the car such as the bonnet badge, front grille surrounds, front door badge, and the rear liftgate SRT8 badge accent.
The engine is still the same, with the 6.4L engine producing 462 bhp and 460 lb-ft of torque, good enough to reach 0-62 mph in just 5 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 160 mph.
Only 95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Alpine Edition cars will be sold in South Africa. It costs about R 864,990.
