Each year, Wörthersee in Austria plays host to the GTI meet, at which VW and Audi fanboys together from throughout Europe. Audi has setup its own stand at this extraordinary event. The brand’s appearance at the 28th Wörthersee Tour, from May 20-23 this year, is dedicated to the centennial celebration “100 years of Audi.” As a special highlight for the event at Wörthersee, Audi has prepared a customized Audi Q5 with 21-inch wheels, wider track, lowered ride height, a special paint finish and a tuned 3.0 TFSI engine, calling it the Audi Q5 custom concept.
Audi engineers prepared this sporty version of the Q5 crossover SUV specially for the Wörthersee Tour. Compared to the production model, the track was widened by 3.54 inches and the ride height lowered by 2.36 inches, with 21-inch wheels. The power output of the 3.0 TFSI V6 engine has been increased from 333 hp to 408 hp, allowing the Audi Q5 custom concept to accelerate from zero to 62 mph in 4.4 seconds. Top speed is governed at 155 mph.
Of course, the 3.0L turbo engine isn’t currently available in the stock Audi Q5 yet. But this is likely a hint at Audi’s future plans.
