“Unintended movement” is a new phrase coined by the NHTSA, and applies to recent Chrysler products affected by a problem where drivers might be able to remove the key from the ignition before the vehicle is shifted into park, which could cause the vehicle to run away on its own.
This latest recall affects more than 40,000 2010 model year Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep vehicles, including the 300, Challenger, Charger, Ram, Commander and outgoing Grand Cherokee. Owners should be able to have this problem fixed at their local dealership free of charge.
