Some outfit called AutoPacific, touting itself as an automotive marketing research and product-consulting firm, has released the results of a survey that tracked the most highly recommended vehicles by owners. According to the survey, it turns out that owners of the Dodge Nitro and the Jeep Wrangler enjoyed their vehicles enough that they would recommend them to a friend or relative.

Chrysler LLC is pleased enough to make an announcement about this surprising news. The weird Dodge Nitro was the top recommended vehicle in the Mid-Size Sport Utility segment.

The barebones Jeep Wrangler earned top honors in the Compact SUV/Off-Road Vehicle category. The two-door Wrangler remains true to its heritage as the original, although it is definitely not a mainstream vehicle, given its worst-in-class onroad performance.

Recommendations with newly purchased or leased passenger cars or light trucks by ranking new owners’ responses to the question, “Would you recommend your new vehicle to a friend or relative?” Scores are based on the responses, ranging from “Yes, definitely,” “Yes, with reservations,” or “No.”
